In the third episode of The Backup Account Podcast, Jacob and Leo are unpacking the comment section in 2024 and how TikTok changed the way people respond online.
Leo: I think the true art form is to leave a comment that has no comment afterward. The internet is endless discourse, so when you see a comment where it's just a mic drop, that's some of the most powerful kind of content.
Jacob: I think the ultimate comment is the one that stink bombs the room. Everybody leaves. They're like, “there's no way I'm going to come up with anything as good as that.” I'm just going to press a heart on that and move along.
Leo and I have been collaborators for 20 years but this is our very first time turning the mics on opposite each other.
